Representin' for the Keystone State with the Living Dead!

So yesterday, I continued my countdown to Halloween by rewatching (for the zillionth time) the 1968 classic Night of the Living Dead. Most of us who live in this area know it was filmed on a tiny budget in Butler County.

But did you know director George Romero, who went on to be a horror film legend, got his start making short films for Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood?

Did you know Steelers legend Franco Harris was good friends with Romero, and was going to star in Romero's Bigfoot movie?

Did you know the blood in the film was actually Bosco chocolate syrup? It helps that the film was in black and white.

"They're coming to get you, Barbara!"
