Chicago River Goes Green For St. Patrick's Day While Being Kept On The DL

Clearly the pandemic can't keep this Chicago tradition down! Mayor Lightfoot said a few weeks ago that the Chicago river wasn't going to be dyed green for St. Patrick's Day, the move to keep large crowds from gathering. Early this morning she pulled a sneaky move and the river is once again green!

Props to Plumbers Union Local 130 U.A. for making this happen since 1962. While this is no small task to get done, I consider this one of the small things in life that brings about happiness. Sounds cheesy I know but we can all use something like this to boost moral after the pandemic has been so tough on so many people over the past year.
