RESEARCH: We Can Potentially Re-Grow Our Own Limbs

Researchers studying the way salamanders regenerate missing body parts say they have discovered how the process works.

The team from the MDI Biological Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine, have concluded that humans potentially have the same ability.

While salamanders regrow missing body parts, mammals create scars; the scientists say that turning off the human ability to create scarring could open the way to allowing us to regrow lost limbs.

The paper on the research was published in the journal Developmental Dynamics which you can read HERE.
