Veteran free agent quarterback Joe Flacco has reached an agreement with the Cleveland Browns on a one-year, $4 million deal, which can be worth up to $13 million with incentives, his agent, Joe Linta, confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter Friday (April 11) morning.

Flacco, who spent the 2024 season with the Indianapolis Colts, will return to the Browns, having previously led the franchise to its last playoff appearance during a season that saw him win the 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. The former Super Bowl champion also reportedly spoke with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings prior to his decision.

"Reunion: the Cleveland Browns and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco reached agreement today on a one-year, $4 million deal worth up to $13 million with incentives, his agency @JLSports3 told ESPN. Flacco now will return to Cleveland, where he won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award in 2023. Flacco also spoke with the Steelers and Vikings but opted to spend his 18th NFL season with the Browns," Schefter wrote on his X account.
