After taking 2019 off, Pearl Jam has announced a return this March, when the band will have a new album and supporting North American tour.
The legendary grunge band will get back on the road March 18, weeks ahead of the release of its forthcoming eleventh studio album, Gigaton, due March 27.
Gigaton was produced by Pearl Jam and Josh Evans. In a news release, the band said the first single, "Dance of the Clairvoyants," is due in a few weeks.
"Making this record was a long journey," guitarist Mike McCready said in a statement. "It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times."
The new album is Pearl Jam's first since 2013's Grammy Award-winning Lightning Bolt.
